Trivia and Hidden Extras

John Foxe was an English theologian and historian in the 1500s, whose work Actes and Monuments became the basis for Foxe's Book of Martyrs, detailing the persecution and martyrdom of Christians in Western civilization. Though some initially interpreted it as a "Protestant vs. Catholic" text, the actual book reveals incidents of martyrdom instigated by ungodly factions of both the Protestant and Catholic Church, and other dictatorships. Hence, it is a record of true Christians standing strong against false religion, ungodly governments, and corrupt church leaderships.
